4.3 TEMPERATURE CHANNELS

Any of the five channels can be programmed as Temperature channels. The user may
select one of the four standard thermocouple types: J, K, T, or E and three optional
types: B, S, or R.

The Thermocouple types can be mixed. For example, channel #1 with a Type E
thermocouple and channel #2 with a Type J thermocouple may be used.

Temperature channel data is calculated, saved and printed in the temperature units
currently selected (°C or °F). The temperature units are chosen during programming
and affect all Temperature channels and Tadjust.

Temperature channel readings are automatically converted from Fahrenheit to Celsius
according to the selected temperature units, but the Tadjust value is a convenient
numeric constant whose value does not change when the units are changed (refer to
section 4.13 TADJUST for more information).

4.4 VOLTAGE CHANNELS

Any of the five channels can be programmed as Voltage channels. Voltage channels
can accept inputs over a range of ±2.0000 VDC and the user can scale the data so that
it prints in the range of values appropriate for their application.

The optional Probes include attenuators to permit ±10 VDC or 4-20 mA signal
measurements.

Refer to section 2.3.2 PROBES and 4.14 VOLTAGE INPUT SCALING for detailed
information.
