OM-550 DOS Software

INTRODUCTION

This Software User’s Guide explains how to use Omega’s OM-550 DOS software.

The software requires an IBM

PC or compatible, with 640K of ram and 1 or 2 serial

ports.

The software is supplied on a 3 ½” disk, and it is recommended that at lease one
backup copy is made to hold in reserve. Refer to your computer manual for copying
instructions.

OM-550 data can be saved to disk as experiment files. The files are automatically
named with the word LOG, followed by three numbers, like LOG007. The numbers will
increment as new experiments are saved or can be user configurable.

In addition to the OM-550 data, an experiment file can (optionally) contain information
describing the parameters of the experiment and the data.
