4.8 DATE

The current date is entered during programming and is kept in a real-time clock that is
backed by the AA batteries. The clock will then be accurate unless the batteries are
removed or a Manual Reset is executed.

The Keypad has no colon key, so enter the date as six numbers and the colons will
automatically be inserted as necessary.

4.9 TIME

The current time is entered during programming and kept in real-time clock that is
backed by the AA batteries. The clock will then be accurate unless the batteries are
removed or a Manual Reset is executed.

The Keypad has no colon key, so enter the time as six numbers and the colons will
automatically be inserted as necessary.

4.10 TEMPERATURE UNITS

Any channel (except the Math channel) may be programmed to be a Temperature
channel. All Temperature channel data is scaled, stored, and printed in the current
temperature units (°C or °F). The temperature units selection applies to all channels
defined as J, K, T, or E thermocouple inputs. This selection is stored in EEPROM and
retained even if the batteries are removed.

Tadjust is not scaled in the current temperature units. It retains its value when the
temperature units are changed. Refer to section 4.13 TADJUST for more information.

4.11 REJECTION FREQUENCY

An A to D Conversion method is used by the OM-550 that can be optimized to reject
inputs at the ambient power-line frequency, for greater measurement precision.

The Rejection Frequency defaults to 60 Hz at Manual Reset but may be reprogrammed
to 50 Hz as necessary. This setting is stored in EEPROM and retained when the
batteries are removed.
