Numbering the songs — Level Sync
• The Level Sync function of the FR-N3X automatically numbers the song at the beginning of signal input. Turn
on this function to automatically number songs during recording. (The songs may not be numbered if the gap
(silence) between songs is too short.)
• During CD dubbing, specified track dubbing, and double-speed dubbing, the tracks are automatically num-
bered, regardless of the Level Sync function status.
• To number the songs, turn off the Level Sync function and follow Step 6 “Numbering the desired song(s)” on
• When the Level Sync function is on, the MD recorder automatically enters Record Standby mode if silence con-
tinues for 60 seconds.
• When the L.SYNC indicator is lit, the Level Sync function is turned on. (When you turn off the function, this indi-
cator disappears.)
To turn the Level Sync function on or off, follow the steps during recording or in recording standby mode. (To can-
cel this operation, press EDIT/CLEAR/NO.
You can also turn the function on or off before inserting a disc.

Press EDIT/CLEAR/NO and turn MULTI JOG to display “Level Sync?.”

→Off?” or “Off→On?” appears on the display.

“LevelSyncOff” appears when the function is turned off, and “LevelSyncOn” appears when
the function is turned on.
