The Expressway Solution
IP based video conferencing between organizations has been hindered by two major barriers:
· Firewalls which block audio and video traffic.
· Lack of a common dial plan for IP based video conferencing.
The Expressway solution solves both the firewall problem and the dial plan problem. Using Expressway, audio
and video can traverse firewalls securely. Expressway is natively supported in the TANDBERG Gateway.
As part of an Expressway solution, a Gateway can be made accessible to e.g. home users and branch offices,
reducing the need to deploy ISDN at all locations.
Users on IP in home offices or branch offices can now use all the features of the enterprise Gateway and can be
reached by ISDN systems.
