Configure the Gateway

Max. Rate

The call rate for outgoing calls will automatically be determined by the call rate used by the endpoint. Use this
setting to restrict the call rate for outgoing calls.

Possible configurations are Telephone, 64 kbps, 128 kbps, 192 kbps, 256 kbps, 320 kbps, 384 kbps, 512 kbps,
768 kbps, 1152 kbps, 1472 kbps and 1920 kbps.

We recommend having one service prefix for Video and one for Telephone calls unless Q.931 Speech signaling on
IP/H.323 is supported by the endpoint.

ISDN Prefix

Can be used as an option to pick specific carriers or “outside”-lines and is automatically added to the ISDN
number.

Restrict

Select ‘Restrict’ if the H.323 Service always should force restricted (56k) ISDN calls. If ‘Restrict’ is not selected,
the gateway will dial an unrestricted call and downspeed to 56 kbps if necessary.

Create New

When Description, Service, Max. Rate, ISDN Prefix, Restrict (56k) has been entered, press ‘Create New’ to
activate the new H.323 Service.

new settings.

Press ‘Save’ to activate the new settings.
