4. Press inner bearing cone on pinion.
To prevent bearing damage, use suitable sleeve that only
contacts inner race of bearing cone.
5. Install preselected bearing spacer on pinion.
6. Install bearing cage on drive pinion.
7. Press outer bearing cone on pinion.
To prevent bearing damage, use suitable sleeve that only
contacts inner race of bearing cone.
At this stage of assembly, "final-check" pinion bearing
preload. See Adjustment Section of this manual.
