5.2 Repair
For safety and guarantee reasons repairs on the instrument must only be carried out by VEGA-staff.
If a defect please return the instrument along with a short description of the fault to our repair department.

5.3 Fault finding
Fault
Removal / Measure
Instrument is wihout function /
green mains control lamp
extinguished
Check the power supply and mains connections acc. to the wiring information on page 9. Call
the service department if the instrument is still without function.
Instrument does not switch
correctly
Check position of the coded keys. If with a two-point level switch the min. value is above the
max. value, the two-point level switch becomes a single point level switch via a hysteresis of
0,5 %. The switch point corresponds to the max. value. Correct the adjusted values.
Instrument done correctly
Check the voltage or current input:
- Voltage/current values within the nominal ranges (see 1.3 Technical data)?
- Short circuit or line break?
- Connection not correct or wrongly polarity?
If such a fault cannot be confirmed, check the connected measuring system consisting of
sensor and signal conditioning instrument. Observe the diagnostic information in the
respective operating instructions.
