The Scales window (figure 6.6) displays the automatically determined scale end-points of each measurement. The user may manually
edit these after the first plot appears, and thus change the scaling of the plot for any and all measurements and the time span. The user
must reselect the file to restore the original automatic scales. The user can also exclude any measurement from the plot by clicking its
name on this window. Click its name again to return it to the plot. Select OK to replot.

Any displayed plot can also be printed by clicking the Print Plot button on the top-right of the DSPlay window. This is not just a
“screen dump” to printer, but a re-plotting of the data at the finer resolution of the printer. Quite a bit of time may pass after pressing
this button before the printer begins. However, a printer icon usually appears in the Windows

®

tray to indicate that a plot is being

composed and spooled to the Default Printer. All printed plots appear in Landscape format on a full standard page. There is a Print in
Color option (persistent) that should be checked on the Display Option window if the printer is capable of color. This option should
generally NOT be checked if the printer is monochrome so that appropriate shades of gray can be used.

Please note that since there are two distinct types of .csv files that can be plotted, DSPlay uses the filename to tell the difference. Thus,
if you choose to rename your files be sure to leave the string model number somewhere in the name of each AutoLog .csv file (and do
not include this string in any Record .csv file). Else, DSPlay is unable to correctly recognize format differences in the two types of .csv
file.

6.1.1.3 DISPLAYING LARGE TEXT FILES WITH TEXT EDITOR

Figure 6.7

Clicking the display area of the empty DSPlay window causes the following configuration option window to open if the display mode is
set to an external text editor (figure 6.8). It lets the user configure a favorite text editor. Double-click the light green text box on this
window to navigate to the .exe file where the text editor is installed.
