Although there are special options in the first frame of the Display Options window (figure 4.32) to allow the speed of the Table update
to be slowed down, and repeatedly displayed, the Plot form of display may be preferred for displaying extracted AutoLog data.

Figure 4.32

The first check box in figure 4.32 (labeled Display AutoLog Data During Extraction) is normally checked. It causes AutoLog data to
be displayed at the time it is extracted and whenever any AutoLog Test Data (.atd) file is opened from the Open File dialog (obtained
by the File | View ‘AutoLog’ Data Files function, by clicking the periphery of the AutoLog control frame, or its label). The second
check box is optional, and determines if a Comma Separated Variable (.csv) file is generated from the extracted data in addition to the
required AutoLog Test Data (.atd) file. This option duplicates one already shown on the Data tab of the Extract Test Data window. If
the extracted data are displayed in the Table or Both format, it may be necessary to adjust the slider to slow down the display update
rate in the table in order to see the individual scans. In such case, click the Again button and then OK to view the most recently
selected .atd file’s data again after each adjustment. Click the Abort button and then OK to stop displaying a very long data file.

If the current Display type is Plot or Both, but the current Plot source selected is for Trend (“live”
acquired) data, extracted AutoLog data is not immediately plotted. To obtain the plot, right-click in
the Plot and select the AutoLog option in the middle of the Plot Options window instead of the Trend
option. Then, click the Again button and the OK button. The previously extracted data file is then
plotted. Any subsequently extracted AutoLog data will be plotted immediately as long as AutoLog
remains selected on the Plot Options window.
