To synchronize the transducer clock with the PC’s clock, click the box Synchronize Xducer(s) with PC in the upper right corner of
the Other window. When the box is checked, the green will turn to pink, indicating that you should select Send, to transmit the
information to the transducer.

4.3 DOWNLOADING NEW BATTERY INFORMATION

The Level Scout contains logic to estimate the remaining capacity of the internal batteries. In order for this to operate effectively, the
transducer must be made aware of a battery replacement and the capacity of the installed batteries. Data Scout Advanced provides
an easy method for configuring the battery information in the Level Scout. This procedure should only be performed at the time a
new battery of known capacity is installed.

To configure the transducer’s battery information open Data Scout Advanced and click on Run to open the Run window. Click the
Other button in the Autolog frame (refer back to figure 4.11).

Check the box next to New Battery (figure 4.12), the green will turn to pink and the following notice will appear.

Click OK on the notice shown in figure 4.13 and enter the battery type and mAh capacity information about the new battery. If the
entries are correct, click Send on the Other window to transmit the information to the transducer. Click Cancel on the Other
window to cancel the transmission of the information. The user can also uncheck the New Battery checkbox to reverse all battery
changes before pressing Send if other changes have been made that need to be transmitted to the Level Scout.
