Event-Based - Data is sampled internally at a defined constant period. If the acquired data meets an event trigger
condition the data set will be logged, otherwise it is discarded. Event trigger conditions may be set up to force
datalogging if either the pressure or temperature reading changes by a user defined limit relative to the last reading.
Additionally, acquired data can be forced to be periodically logged at some default rate (even if the event condition
is not met) by setting a maximum scan count on the Default # Scans box. Note that when specifying the event
trigger delta pressure or temperature, it must be specified in units of pounds per square inch or degrees Celsius.

The Other tab (figure 3.17) has two functions: naming test profiles and vacating test profiles. Test profile names may be optionally
added to help identify the profile. The test name is limited to 18 characters and may be changed on any test other than a test with a
Done status.

Figure 3.17

The vacate test control is used to clear any test definition information for a test profile. Only test profiles with a status of Done or
Idle may be vacated. Active tests must be stopped before they can be vacated. Once a test profile is vacated, its data can not be
extracted
. Care must be taken to ensure that the data has been extracted prior to vacating the test profile definition.

Tip

Vacating a test does not free the memory that the test profile may have used to
store its AutoLog data. Use the Erase All Memory control to free all AutoLog
memory for future use (see Section 3.3.1).

By default, the frame labeled Apply To, located in the lower left corner of the Edit Test Window, normally applies all current edit
changes for any selected tests to the currently selected transducer only (when the OK button is clicked). Clicking the All Xducers
option applies the edit changes to all transducers in the current Run window, as long as each edit change makes sense in each of these
other transducers for the same affected test number. In cases where the user is creating the same test in several transducers
concurrently, this feature could save time as could the Get and Put buttons which are

described in the Data Scout Advanced

Operations Manual.
