The frame labeled Date/Time provides a check box function which will synchronize the attached Level Scout’s internal clock to the
clock of the PC running Data Scout Advanced (figure 3.27). The synchronization is performed when the Send button is selected.

The frame labeled Battery Type and Capacity (figure 3.28) is used to inform the Level Scout when the internal batteries have been
replaced. This provides accurate estimates of remaining battery. Chapter 4 of this manual gives detailed instructions for replacing
the Level Scout’s internal batteries.

The frame labeled Data Memory Options (figure 3.29) contains two controls related to the use of the Level Scout’s internal non-
volatile datalogging memory. The controls are described below.

„

The No Wrap and Wrap controls determine how the Level Scout with function when it uses all available memory.
When set to No Wrap mode, the Level Scout will stop any logging test in progress once all available memory has
been used. This mode ensures that the original data is never overwritten or lost. More recent data, however, will
not be stored.

„

If the Wrap mode is selected the Level Scout will continue executing Logging tests once all available memory has
been used. This will result in older test profile data being overwritten as required to hold newer data. This mode
ensures that the most recent data is always recorded but at the expense of older test profile data that will be lost.

„

The Erase All Memory checkbox is used to reformat the non-volatile memory used for the storage of all AutoLog
data. Enabling this check box and clicking the Send button will erase all memory, vacate all tests, and return the
attached unit to its maximum data storage capacity.

Warning

Only use the Erase All Memory Command after all test profile data of interest has been
extracted from the Level Scout and is stored on a PC. All internal test profile data will
be lost after this command is executed.

The frame labeled Apply To always defaults to the currently selected transducer (figure 3.30). The All Xducers button allows the
same action to be applied to all transducers in the current Run window.
