After verifying the connector board is properly seated, screw
the unit back together, turning the knurled end and not the
smooth end of your transducer.

Note

Once the new batteries are installed, the transducer resets itself. The default baud rate is
19200.

After installing new batteries, the transducer clock must be reset for proper timekeeping
as described in section 4.2 below.

The battery type and rating must be downloaded to the transducer to begin the battery life
estimation for the newly installed batteries. This process is explained in section 4.3.

All Autolog test configuration and logged data are retained when the batteries are
removed and replaced.

4.2 SYNCHRONIZING THE TRANSDUCER INTERNAL CLOCK

Periodically, there may be a need to synchronize the Level Scout’s internal clock to the local time. This can occur after shipping the
Level Scout to different time zones, replacing the internal batteries, or simply to improve the accuracy of the time keeping.

To reset the Level Scout clock open Data Scout Advanced and click on Run to open the Run window (figure 4.11). Click the Other
button in the Autolog Frame to open figure 4.12
