3.3 OTHER USEFUL DATA SCOUT ADVANCED FUNCTIONS

Clicking the Other button within the AutoLog frame of the Run window will display the screen shown
in figure 3.25. This window contains several useful status and configuration fields. For example, alarm
scanning features are configured here. Alarm scanning allows the user to enter Hi and Lo alarm and
warning values. If an alarm or warning value is acquired by a transducer, then the transducer can scan at
a faster rate and broadcast the alarm data (if configured to do so). Alarm scanning is only available for
pressure readings, not temperature.

3.3.1 BATTERY, MEMORY AND INTERNAL CLOCK

The frame labeled Other Xducer Status Summary contains status information reported by the attached Level Scout as is described
below (figure 3.26).

Figure 3.26

„

The Battery field shows the remaining battery life percentage as calculated by the Level Scout. In order for the
Level Scout to accurately calculate remaining battery life, new battery capacity must be properly entered when
batteries are replaced (see section 4.1).

„

The Memory field shows the amount of memory (in bytes) currently available for storing AutoLog test data. The
number of samples that this free memory can store will be affected by what data the Level Scout is asked to record
for each sample. The time stamp requires 7 bytes. Each additional measurement selected requires 4 bytes each.

„

The Date/Time Diff. field shows the time difference between the attached Level Scout’s internal clock and the clock
of the PC it is connected to (hh:mm:ss).
