Preparation

The settings possible in preparation dialog allow changes in stimulation and detection
parameters. It is also possible to run automatic IO (Input / Output) curves, and to deliver
test pulses without recording data.

Click the icon "Preparation" to enter the "Test Pulse" tab.

With the help of this "Test Pulse" dialog - similar to the control window of test mode -
it is possible to adjust the stimulation parameters for the recording. You can change the
"Pulse Shape" and the "Stimulus Paradigm" for both stimulation "Pathways" S1 and S2
individually. It is recommended to use one of the stimulation pathways for LTP / LTD Induction,
and the other one as internal reference.

Again the "Pulse Interval" can be chosen from a drop down menu. This parameter will also
apply to the pulses in the IO curve.

Hint: For test purposes, a short pulse interval can be chosen. For the actual experiment,
it is advisable to use a longer pulse interval.

Pressing the play button

in the test pulse tab will not result in data recording.
