5.2.8 Recording Check List
1. Close MC_Rack, MC_Stimulus and MEA_Select, if necessary.
2. Open LTP-Director.
3. Test Mode:
 Select Hardware (Settings / Hardware).
 Select electrode layout, MEA BC-Port and STG, if necessary.
 Select Data Path and Filename (Settings / Options).
 Load slice image, fit the image to the electrode grid.
 Adjust stimulation parameters.
 Select stimulation electrodes for pathways S1 and S2.
 Select up to four dendritic and / or somatic electrodes for online analysis.
 Switch to Measurement Mode.
4. Measurement Mode:
 Optional: Open template.
 Fill in Lab Book.
 Run IO Curve.
 Optional: Save IO curves as pictures or ASCII files.
 Adjust stimulation parameters.
 Adjust detection levels.
 Select / Deselect experimental phases.
 Adjust phase parameters.
 Recheck stimulation pulse interval. (For testing, usually intervals of
5 or 10 s are used. For the real experiment, this might be too fast.)
 Recheck file name and file path.
 Optional: Open Experiment Comment window to make notes during
the experiment.
 Press Start.
