Set the mode selector switch to the “EXT DVD” side to
operate a separately sold DVD player or DVD changer.
Operating the DVD player/DVD
changer (sold separately)
1 EXT DVD Transmission Indicator
If the mode switch is switched to the EXT DVD side, the
transmission indicator flashes for few seconds.
2 A.PROC Button
Press the button to call the external audio processor
mode.
3 Button
Disc No. UP (Only for DVD changer)
4 POWER Button
Press the button to turn the power on/off.
Press and hold for at least 5 seconds to switch the
NTSC/PAL.
5 Button
Starts playback from the beginning of the current
chapter or track.
Press and hold for at least 2 seconds to fast-reverse the
chapter or track.
6 Button
Disc No. DOWN (Only for DVD changer)
7 V.SEL Button
Switches the screen of TV or DVD video.

LIGHT Button
Lights the indicator.
9 VOLUME / Button
Adjusts the volume of the DVA-7996.
p Joystick
Selects the item displayed on the screen.
q ENTER Button
Decides the selected item.
w MUTE Button
Decreases the volume of DVA-7996 in a moment. Press
the button again to cancel.
e MENU/SETUP Button
Displays the DVD menu.
Press and hold for at least 2 seconds to access SETUP
(initial setting).
r Numeric Keypad
Inputs numbers
t DEL. Button
Deletes one digit of the selected/inputted numbers.
Press and hold for at least 2 seconds to delete all of the
selected/inputted numbers.
y AUDIO Button
Switches the audio tracks.
u SUB T. Button
Switches the subtitle.
Press and hold for at least 2 seconds to turn ON/OFF
the subtitle display.
i ANGLE Button
Switches the angle.
o RTN Button
Returns to the previous selection screen.
; DISP/TITLE Button
Starts playback from the beginning of chapter/track/
elapsed time.
Press and hold for at least 2 seconds to display the title
menu.
a REAR Button
Outputs the DVD video on the monitor during other
source.
s ANGLE / Button
To change the audio display angle.
d Button
Performs PRE STOP. Press again to cancel PRE STOP
and stop the playback.
f SOURCE Button
Press to select the audio source.
g Button
Starts playback from the beginning of the following
chapter or track.
Press and hold for at least 2 seconds to fast forward the
chapter or track.
h Button
Performs playback.
Press and hold for at least 2 seconds for slow motion
playback.
j BAND Button
Switches the band of the audio side or the disc mode.
k MODE Change Switch
When operating the connected DVD player/DVD
changer, switch to the EXT DVD side.
NOTE
Depending on the disc or playback status, certain operations
may not work. In this case, the
mark is displayed on the
monitor screen.
