4.2.5 Sensor Communication Alarms

These alarms occur when a sensor does not respond to repeated attempts at communication
by the monitor. The monitor display will alternate between the following:

Line 1:

“COMERR” and <Sensor Name>

Line 2:

<N> (blank)

where <N> is the number of the faulty sensor. This number matches the number that
appeared when that sensors was learned or woken up.

After acknowledgment, the operator is reminded of which sensor is in fault by the blinking of
the associated triangular indicator.

4.2.6 System Error Alarms

System errors are displayed with “SYSERR” on line 1, and an error code on line 2. The
conditions that are monitored, along with their corresponding error codes, are:

Data Line is Shorted Low (Usually a short to ground ) 100

Data Line is Shorted High (Usually a short to +12V)

101

Line shorts must be located and fixed before normal operation will resume.

4.3 Area Display and Zeroing Area Accumulators

There are two area counters, FIELD AREA and TOTAL AREA. They are both accumulated
whenever the system “In Motion” condition is true. Area counts are preserved when the unit is
powered down.

The counts are displayed by enabling the corresponding display function with the UP and
DOWN arrow buttons. The FIELD AREA is displayed to the nearest tenth of an acre (or
hectare) and the TOTAL AREA is displayed with no decimal. The appropriate unit icon (acres
or hectares) is turned on.

The field area is reset to zero by first making FIELD AREA the active displayed function and
then holding down the OK button until after the long beep following 4 short beeps.

Both the field and total areas are reset to zero by first making TOTAL AREA the active
displayed function and then holding down the OK button until after the long beep following 4
short beeps.
