9.

REVERSING MODELS ONLY - Basket (tumbler) dryer should never be operated with less than a

30 lb. (13.7 kg) load (dry weight). The size of the load will affect the
coast-down and dwell (stop) times. The basket (tumbler) must come
to a complete stop before starting in opposite direction.

a. Microprocessor Models

1) Spin and stop are not adjustable in the Automatic Mode and have been preprogrammed into the

microprocessor controller (computer) for 150-seconds spin time in forward direction, 120-seconds
in the reverse direction and a 5-second dwell (stop) time.

2) Spin and stop times are adjustable in the Manual (timed) Mode.

10. Check to insure that ALL setscrews (i.e., tumbler drive, idler, etc.) are tight.

K. PREOPERATIONAL INSTRUCTIONS

1. To start the dryer:

a. Microprocessor Controller (Computer) Dryers

1) The light emitting diode (L.E.D.) display will read “REAdY.”

2) Press the “E” on the keyboard (touch pad).

3) The dryer will start and the display will flash “dRYING MANUAL CYCLE E,” “dRY TEMP 180F,”

“COOL TEMP 80F,” “30 REMAIN,” “dRUM TEMP.”

Refer to the User’s Manual for detailed operating instructions.

L. SHUT DOWN INSTRUCTIONS

If the dryer is to be shut down (taken out of service) for a period of time, the following must be performed:

1. Discontinue power to the dryer either at the external disconnect switch or the circuit breaker.

2. Discontinue the gas or steam supply:

a. GAS MODELS ... discontinue the gas supply.

1) SHUT OFF external gas supply shutoff valve.

b. STEAM MODELS ... discontinue the steam supply.

1) SHUT OFF external (location furnished) shutoff valve.

2) SHUT OFF external steam valves in the supply lines and the return lines.
