Setting Up Reserved Slots

You can use one of the reserved slots for a cleaning cartridge to use the

is operating in Random Library mode in conjunction with NonStop server
software, such as Auto Cartridge Loader Media Manager (ACLMM).

1. Navigate from the Default screen through the Main menu to the Configure

menu. See

Figure 2-3

through

Figure 2-5

.

2. Scroll down the Configure menu to Set Reserved slots, and select that

option. The screen shown in

Figure 2-11

appears.

3. With the cursor next to line 1, press Enter. The

cursor

moves to line 2, a

down arrow appears at the end of line 4, and an

up arrow

appears at the end

of line 1.

4. On line 2, scroll to specify the number of slots to be reserved. Scroll to the

desired number, and press Enter.

5. Press Escape repeatedly to return to the Default screen.

Note. The tape drive does not have protection against lighting surges. Customers located in
high risk areas should use external surge protection rated for use in their location and able to
handle the power demand of the tape drive.
