Setting the Image Quality
Digital Still Camera Mode : Functions
✤ Image Quality function works in
(Program), M, S, A and SCENE
modes.
✤ Set the level of image quality for the still images before you begin.
The number of stored images varies depending on the Memory
Card capacity, image size and quality.
1. Set the Power switch to
(CAMERA).
2. Set the Mode Dial to
(Program), M, S, A
or SCENE.
3. Press the MENU button.
4. Move the Joystick to the left or right to select
(QUALITY).

The available options are listed.

– FINE
–
NORMAL
5. Select an option by moving the Joystick up or
down, then press the Joystick(OK) or MENU
button.

The icon of the selected mode will be
displayed.

■
The actual number of pictures you can record varies
depending on the image quality and size settings.
■
The TIFF format does not compress the image and
therefore produces a larger image size.
■
When TIFF is selected, Continuous Shot and AEB modes are not
selectable.

✤ La función Image Quality (Calidad de imagen) está operativa en las
modalidades
(Programa), M, S, A y SCENE (ESCENA).
✤ Antes de empezar, ajuste el nivel de la calidad de imagen. El número
de imágenes almacenadas varía dependiendo de la capacidad de la
tarjeta de memoria, el tamaño y la calidad de la imagen.
1. Coloque el interruptor Power en
(CÁMARA).
2. Coloque el Dial de modalidad en
(Programa),
M, S, A o SCENE (ESCENA).
3. Pulse el botón MENU.
4. Mueva el Joystick a la derecha o a la izquierda
hasta seleccionar
( QUALITY (CALIDAD)).

Aparece una lista con las opciones disponibles.

FINE (FINA)
– NORMAL
5. Seleccione la opción moviendo el Joystick hacia
arriba o hacia abajo y pulse el Joystick(OK) o el
botón MENU.

Aparecerá el icono de la modalidad
seleccionada.

El número real de imágenes que puede grabar
varía dependiendo de los ajustes de calidad y
tamaño de la imagen.
■
El formato TIFF no comprime la imagen y, por
tanto, produce un tamaño de imagen mayor.
■
Cuando se selecciona TIFF, no es posible seleccionar las
modalidades Continuous Shot (Disparo continuo) ni AEB.
