Step 1 Preparing the power supply
Installing the battery pack
We recommend that you use the battery pack when you use your camcorder outdoors.
(1) While turning down the VBATT (battery) release lever in the direction of the
arrow 1, remove the battery terminal cover in the direction of the arrow 2.
(2) Install the battery pack in the direction of the arrow until it clicks.
To remove the battery pack
The battery pack is removed in the same way as the battery terminal cover.
Note on the battery terminal cover
To protect the battery terminals, always install the battery terminal cover after the
battery pack is removed.
Note on installing the battery pack
Make sure that the battery pack is properly installed. Check also the battery pack is not
attached to the camcorder askew.
