Changing the sound quality

• When the unit is not in the stop state, press

[STOP g/RETURN].

Press [MENU].

Press u, i to select “MODE”
and press [
q OK] to enter.

Press +, – to select “PCM”, “XP”,
“LP”, or “SLP” and press [
q OK]
to enter.

(The factory setting is “XP”.)

To exit the setting screen, press
[STOP
g/RETURN].

The selected sound quality is
displayed.

You can change the sound quality. This allows you to provide the best sound quality for the
particular purpose.

Depending on the setting, the sound quality and remaining recording time (➜ page 51) will differ.

High quality recording

Long recording

Recording format

PCM

(44.1 kHz)

XP

(MP3 192 kbps)

LP

(MP3 64 kbps)

SLP

(MP3 32 kbps)

When the sound quality is set to “SLP”, the recording becomes monaural.
