Shadowing is a learning method to repeat an
example immediately after it is heard. You can use
the shadowing function of this unit to repeat the A-B
repeat section (example) and a no-sound section
(practice). This is convenient for pronunciation or
listening practice for language learning.

• When the unit is not in the stop state, press

[STOP g/RETURN].

Press [MENU].

Press u, i to
select “ ” and
press [
q OK] to
enter.

Press +, – to select “On” and press
[
q OK] to enter.

The shadowing function turns on.
(The factory setting is “OFF”.)

To exit the setting screen, press [STOP g/RETURN].

Select the file you want to play with shadowing
(

pages 10, 13) and press [q OK].

Press [ERASE/A-B&]
at the finish point (B).

The indication changes to

playback, and blinks during

no-sound playback.

Cancelling shadowing:

Press [ERASE/A-B&] again. (Shadowing can also
be cancelled with [STOP g/RETURN], u or i.)

Shadowing

You cannot set shadowing when the time between the start point (A) and finish point (B) is
approx. 2 seconds or less.

When only the start point (A) is set and playback continues until the end of the file, the end
becomes the finish point (B) and shadowing begins.

Shadowing by setting the range using 2 files is not possible.
