When a problem occurs

Cannot stop recording midway through.

z

Recording can be stopped midway through when recording to an SD card or a
DVD-RAM disc, however it cannot be stopped midway through when recording to a
DVD-R disc or a DVD-RW disc.

When the produced disc is played back
on an another player, zones surrounding
the image are not displayed.

z

Depending on the playback screen (such as a TV, etc.), the zone surrounding the image
may not be displayed correctly.

When playing back a produced SD card
or DVD disc, the playback is interrupted
momentarily midway through.

z

Playback may be interrupted momentarily at the position where videos are switched. If
the video consists of two or more scenes, the same phenomenon may happen at the
position where scenes are switched.

The produced SD card or DVD disc in
AVCHD standard does not play back.

z

Playback is not possible on a player that does not support the AVCHD standard.

z

Videos recorded on an SD card cannot be played back on some video cameras.

When the DVD drive is accessed by
other software, such as Explorer, etc.,
an error message is displayed, and the
drive is not accessible.

Other software cannot use the drive currently used by HD Writer. For instance, if the
drive is accessed by Explorer, the error message such as “It is impossible to access F:\.
The access was rejected” (when the DVD drive is drive F) is displayed. In this case, HD
Writer must be closed, and then the drive can be accessed.

Cannot see the produced DVD disc on
Windows

®

Explorer.

Since the discs recorded in AVCHD standard is recorded in UDF 2.5 format, they
cannot be displayed on a PC where the UDF 2.5 driver is not installed.
