Copy

Copy images on an SD card or a DVD disc to the hard disk

It is possible to copy image data on an SD card or a DVD disc
to the hard disk on the PC.
When the SD card, DVD-RAM disc, or DVD-RW disc used for
video camera recording is full, copy the data to the hard disk
to use the same media for recording again.
Easy edit of the image data saved on a hard disk can also be
performed.

Set an SD card or a DVD disc. (Example: Insert it in the
video camera and connect the video camera to the PC.

Before copying the DVD-RW disc, DVD-R disc, and
DVD-R DL (dual layer on single side) disc in the AVCHD
standard recorded by video camera, the discs must be
finalized with the video camera used for the recording.

It is impossible to copy images from a DVD disc that was
recorded in DVD-Video format to your PC.

Click [Copy to PC] button on the [Start Menu]
window that is displayed when starting HD Writer.

the contents.

Click [

] button to select an SD card or a DVD disc

as the copy source.

• If the drive is not displayed after replacing the SD

card or DVD disc, click [Refresh] button.

Specify the copy destination.

Select the storage folder in the upper column. Enter
the name of the copy destination folder, which is
created in the storage folder, in the lower column.
• By default, the name of the copy destination folder is

the recording date of the last recorded image using
alphanumeric characters _1 to _9/A0 to Z9/AA to ZZ.
(Example: [070530_1], [070530AZ])
