8. Loosen the two screws that secure the AnyRAID adapter or the pass-through board. Then, grasp the

AnyRAID adapter or the pass-through board by its edges and carefully pull it out of the AnyRAID-adapter
slots on the backplane.

Notes:

• The AnyRAID adapter or the pass-through board fits tightly into the AnyRAID-adapter slots. If

necessary, alternate moving each side of the AnyRAID adapter or the pass-through board a small and
equal amount until it is removed from the connectors.

• The two screws are integrated parts of the AnyRAID adapter or the pass-through board. Do not try to

remove the two screws from the AnyRAID adapter or the pass-through board.

9. Under the AnyRAID adapter or the pass-through board, there is an AnyRAID-adapter tray used to help

secure the AnyRAID adapter or the pass-through board in place. If necessary, remove and reinstall the
tray by doing the following:

Note: Depending on the model, the AnyRAID-adapter tray that comes with your server might look slightly
different with the following illustrations. However, the removal and installation procedures are the same.
