Techno Tidbits & Problem-solving
Cause
• Either the digital connections or the
DIGITAL INPUT ASIGNMENTS are
incorrect.
• The MONITOR mode is ON.
• You are not using an EX or ES
source.
• The player is paused or stopped.
• There is a mistake in the player
settings for audio output.
• Although it's a DTS source there is
a possibility the present trrack is not
DTS.
Remedy
• Make sure the digintal connections
and the DIGITAL INPUT
ASIGNMENTS are doner correctly.
• Press the MONITOR button so it goes
into the OFF setting.
• There is no problem with your
receiver but if you want to hear 7
channel sound switch to Surround EX
mode.
• Play the source.
• Fix the audio settings (check the
manual that came with your DVD
player).
• There is no problem. The indicator
won't light when the track is not a
DTS track.
Symptom
You can't get DIGITAL to come
up when using the SIGNAL
SELECT button.
When using THX AUTO mode
the receiver is not playing in the
EX or ES mode.
The DTS indicator doesn't light
up even when playing a DTS
source.
If the unit does not operate normally due to external effects such as static electricity
Disconnect the power plug from the outlet and insert again to return to normal operating conditions.
