Note: If the Installer Tool does not start automatically, open
Windows Explorer. Select the directory for your DVD drive and
double-click on the "Setup.exe" file.
9.1.2 Restoring the map
Via ActiveSync 1. Connect your navigation device to your PC via ActiveSync.
2. Insert the AVIC-S1 DVD in your DVD ROM drive.
The Installer Tool starts automatically.
3. Select your language.
4. Click on Upgrade / Restore Map.
5. Click on MS ActiveSync
® .
6. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: If the Installer Tool does not start automatically, open
Windows Explorer. Select the directory for your DVD drive and
double-click on the "Setup.exe" file.
Via card reader 1. Insert a memory card with sufficient free memory into your
card reader.
2. Insert the AVIC-S1 DVD in your DVD ROM drive.
The Installer Tool starts automatically.
3. Select your language.
4. Click on Upgrade/Restore Map.
5. Click on SD card.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions.
7. After copying the map to the memory card, insert the
memory card in your navigation device.
Note: You don't need to copy the map from the memory card to
the device; you can also download the map directly from your
memory card. To do this, tap on No when after inserting the
memory card in your navigation device you are asked if you
would like to copy the map to the device.
