5. EMPTY ALARM

IMPORTANT: The EMPTY ALARM can only be triggered when the drop sensor is plugged

in; The EMPTY ALARM will be triggered only if there are no drops going through the drip

chamber.

WARNING: There are three situations that may trigger the EMPTY ALARM if drop sensor is

used:

a.

Medication in the reservoir is finished;

b.

Drip sensor is not properly plugged into the pump and/or clamped on the drip-

chamber;

c.

Drip sensor is removed from the drip-chamber; in the above three situations,

EMPTY ALARM will be triggered with an audible and visual flash light.

Pump will stop regular infusion and switch to a KVO (Keep Vain Open) infusion

mode. Press

to silence the alarm buzzer.

IMPORTANT: Infusion can be resumed ONLY after the EMPTY condition is cleared.

IMPORTANT: To restart or clear the total infused volume, press ON/OFF switch on the back

of the pump. After the pump is turned OFF, user must wait at least 3 seconds to turn on the

pump again.

During a regular infusion, when the VOLUME

DELIVERED matches the VOLUME LIMIT (vol-

ume to be infused), COMPETED alarm will be

triggered with audible alarm and visual flash

light. (screen 32) Pump will stop regular infu-

sion and switch to a KVO (Keep Vain Open)

infusion mode (KVO rate is 0.1 ml/h at micro

infusion; 1ml/h or 2 ml/h at macro infusion).

User can press
