Surround mode explanation
SURROUND MODES CHANNELS DELAY NOTES †

DOLBY SURROUND LF,RF,C,LR,RR 0 - 15 ms AC-3 Mode-All speakers are full
SUB or range. Dolby Pro Logic- Rear left and
15 - 30 ms right are mono surround and sent
through the delay.
3 STEREO LF,RF,C,SUB 0 ms Rear left and right signals mixed with
front left and right.
3 STEREO HALL LF,RF,C,LR,RR 0 - 15 ms Rear left and right are mono surround
SUB or and sent through the delay.
15 - 30 ms
STEREO LF,RF,SUB 0 ms Stereo listening mode.
STEREO F/R LF,RF,LR,RR 0 ms Front left is sent to the rear left and
SUB front right is sent to the rear right.
SUB is the front left and right signals
summed.
STEREO HALL LF,RF,LR,RR 0 - 15 ms Same as 3 STEREO HALL with no
SUB or center channel.
15 - 30 ms
DIRECT LF,RF,SUB 0 ms Direct mode is the same as Stereo
mode except the 2 channel output
signal is pre-processor for analog
sources.(True Stereo bypass if using
analog inputs)
