2 Introduction

2.1 APD-100’s Display and Keypad

The APD-100 (Automatic Powder Dispenser) front panel is shown in Figure

2.1

.

Below is a brief description of each key’s function:

NEW

Press to input and store NEW powder formula

CAL

Press to CALibrate the scale with 30g, 50g or 100g test weight

EDIT

Press to EDIT stored powder formula

RECALL

Press to RECALL stored powder formula

ON/OFF

Press to turn the APD-100 ON or OFF

AUTO REPEAT

Press to enter to or exit from the AUTO REPEAT dispensing mode

POWDER

Press to select the type of POWDER

ZERO/EXIT

Press to ZERO the scale, or exit from input/setting mode

UNIT/SETUP

Press to change the UNIT of weight, or enter SETUP mode

ENTER/PAUSE

Press to confirm your input/choice or PAUSE dispensing

BACKSPACE

Press to delete last input character

FAST/▲

Press to FAST dispense in manual mode, or select last item

TRICKLE/▼

Press to TRICKLE (slowly) dispense in manual mode, or select
next item

CANCEL/STOP

Press to delete all input characters, or STOP dispensing

MEM#/.

Press to use MEMory location number to recall powder formula, or
input decimal point.

0-9 / A-Z

Press to input numbers (0-9) or alphabet (A-Z)
