MIDI
MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital
Interface), is an advanced digital interface
that allows digital musical instruments
like the SHS-200 to "communicate" with
one another. The SHS-200 has a MIDI
OUT terminal that can be connected to a
MIDI tone generator system, causing the
external tone generator system to play
anything that is played on or by the SHS-
200. This gives the SHS-200 a whole
new range of exciting voices.
About MIDI Channels
The MIDI system transmits and receives
data on up to 16 different channels. The
SHS-200 is set up to transmit its four
accompaniment parts and one rhythm
(drum) part on specific MIDI channels:
ACCOMPANIMENT VOICE 1: MIDI
CHANNEL 12
ACCOMPANIMENT VOICE 2: MIDI
CHANNEL 13
ACCOMPANIMENT VOICE 3: MIDI
CHANNEL 14
ACCOMPANIMENT VOICE 4: MIDI
CHANNEL 15
DRUMS: MIDI CHANNEL 16
Your MIDI tone generator system must
therefore have voice set up to receive on
these channels if you want the
accompaniment and drum parts to be
played by the external note generator.
Notes played on the SHS-200 keyboard,
however, can be transmitted on any MIDI
channel between 1 and 16 as follows:

L’interface MIDI (de l’anglais: Musical
Instrument Digital Interface) est une
interface d’une technologie de pointe qui
permet à des instruments musicaux
numériques, tels que le SHS-200, de
“communiquer” entre eux. Le SHS-200 est
pourvu d’une prise de sortie MIDI OUT
pouvant être reliée à un système
générateur de sons MIDI, ce qui permet au
système générateur de son externe de
reproduire tout ce qui est exécuté sur ou
par le SHS-200. Ceci donne au SHS-200

möchten. Auf der Tastatur des SHS-200
gespielte Noten können jedoch wie folgt
über jeden beliebigen MIDI-Kanal
zwischen 1 bis 16 übertragen werden:

L’arrangement des voix du système
générateur de sons MIDI doit donc être tel
qu’il permette la réception sur ces canaux
pour que les accompagnements et la
batterie puissent être reproduits par le
générateur de sons externe. En revanche,
les notes exécutées sur le clavier du SHS-
200 peuvent être transmises de la manière
suivante sur n’importe quel canal MIDI
compris entre 1 et 16:

MIDI entre el 1 y el 16 de la forma
