g] Parameter Control

The FX550 can receive two MIDI Controllers that can be used to control effect parameters in
real time, that is, while you play.

• Applicable MIDI Equipment

• Yamaha MFCl MIDI Foot Controller with Yamaha FC-7 Foot Controller
• MIDI sequencer
• MIDI keyboard

• Set Up Procedure

1. Press the [UTILITY] button to show the MIDI SETUP display shown below.

2. Press the [

] or [ A ] button to select a MIDI bank (A, B, C, or D).

3. Press the [ -^ ] or [ ► ] button to position the cursor under “ch”, and set the MIDI channel

parameter using the [ ▼ ] or [ A ] button. Set the MIDI channel parameter so that it matches
the transmit MIDI channel of the device that is sending the MIDI Controllers. If “OMNI” is

selected, MIDI Controllers on any MIDI channel can be received.

4. Press the [UTILITY] button to show the CONTROLLER 1 display.

] button to select the MIDI Controller that is being sent by the control­

ling device.
