Before Requesting Service

VCFt will riot operate correctly
CAUSE j REMEDY
CHECKED
VCR display is not
illuminated.

Mains lead is not connected. i Reconnect mains lead to VCR.

VCR Display setting is OFF.
Set VCR Display to ON or DIMMED. See page 37.
VCR display is
iliuminated but VCR
w/iil not operate.
VCR is in timer mode.
Press TIMER REC to operate VCR manually.
Safety devices are operating.
Disconnect mains lead and wait for 1 minute.
Reconnect mains supply and check functions.
Condensation may have
formed.
Do not operate VCR for I hour.
Hc^ Playback will not operate correctly
CAUSE
REMEDY : CHECKED
Picture noisy or not
in colour.
Horizontai bars or
lines run down the
screen.
Tracking is not correct.
Adjust the tracking. See page 19.
TV set is not tuned to VCR.
Operate RF OFF/TEST SIGNAL on VCR and check
TV tuning. See page 10.
Video heads are clogged or
worn.
Consuit your deaier for further advice.
Head cleaning by service agent is not covered by
warranty.
