Clock Sources
When a 6416dio is used as the network’s Clock Master, three clock sources
are available:
The Pro64 network internal clock
•
Word Clock from an external source
•
The digital clock embedded in AES3
•
channels 1/2
The 6416dio is the network’s Clock Master, receiving Word Clock from an
external source.
Selecting an External Clock Source
To set the 6416dio to use an external clock source, it must first be set to be
the network Clock Master, as detailed in the previous steps. When connecting
external clocks to the Pro64 network, ensure that the sample rates for the
external clock source and the Pro64 network match.
Word Clock
To use an external Word Clock as the clock source for the Pro64 network,
use the selector button below the Clock Source LEDs to choose Word Clock.

run at multiples of the sample rate (i.e. “superclock”) to the Pro64
Word Clock inputs. These signals are not compatible with Pro64
clock inputs.
