AES3 Clock

The clock embedded within AES3 channels 1/2 can also be used as the clock

source for the Pro64 network. To set AES3 channels 1/2 as the network clock,

use the selector button below the Clock Source LEDs to choose AES In (1/2).

To confirm the new clock source, press the

E

: Only AES3 channels 1/2 can be used as a clock source. Channels

3‑16 are not available as clock sources.

The network can extract its reference clock from an AES3 source connected

to channels 1/2 even if those channels are not active in the network. The clock

from AES3 channels 3‑16 cannot be used. The 6416dio does not support the

AES3 double speed mode.

Sample Rate

Pro64 networks can operate at sample rates in three ranges without the use

of sample rate converters. The current network sample rate also determines

the number of available A‑Net Slots.

Sample Rate

A-Net Slots Available

44.1/48kHz

88.2/96kHz

In an all‑analog network, the sample rate can be set at the current Clock

Master to the following:

When an external clock is used with a Pro64 digital I/O device, the system

can lock to any sample rate within the sample rate range that is displayed in

the table below.
