NOTE
The 3G or 1x service indicator icon on the top line of the main
display is highlighted to indicate that the PTT service is available.
Calling from PTT Contact List (Barge)
1. With the flip closed, to unlock the handset, press the Center Select
Key, and then press  at the prompt.
2. Press the Red Side Key/PTT Key  to access your PTT
Contact List.
3. Scroll to the PTT Contact entry you wish to call.
4. Press and hold the Red Side Key/PTT Key . Wait until the
“OK to Talk” tone sounds and the message “Talking to” appears
on the display. Speak while holding the Red Side Key/PTT Key
.
5. Release the Red Side Key/PTT Key  to let the other party talk.
6. Press the End/Power Key to end the call.
NOTE
With the flip open, you can also perform the same operation by
pressing the Red Side Key/PTT Key .
Calling from PTT Contact List (Alert)
You can send an alert to any user with Verizon Wireless PTT service.
The user may answer or ignore the alert.
1. From idle mode with the flip open, press the Red Side Key/PTT Key
 to access your PTT Contact List.
2. Scroll to the PTT Contact entry you wish to call.
3. Press the Left Soft Key [Alert]. The message “Press Red Side
Key/PTT Key to Alert” will appear on the display.
4. Press and release the Red Side Key/PTT Key  to alert the
selected individual.
The “PTT Outgoing Alert” tone will sound, and “Alerting” will
appear on the display.
