NOTES

The Music Key

or Camera Key can also be used to take

a picture.

Best Shot provides you with a collection of scene modes that

show a variety of different types of shooting conditions. When you

need to change the setup of the camera, simply select the scene

mode that matches the subject type to be taken, and the camera

automatically optimizes settings for that subject type.

When the Shot Mode setting is set to Multishot, you cannot

select Night View.

When using the flash, take a picture within about 4˝ to 20˝ from

the subject.

Press the AF Lock/Return Key

- to adjust and lock the focus

without activating the shutter. When AF is locked, the focus point

changes from white to green and the lock clicks. If AF cannot be

locked, the focus point turns red. You can readjust and lock the

focus by pressing the AF Lock/Return Key

- again.

When the Auto Focus setting is set to 9 Point AF, nine focus points

appear. When the focus is locked, three focus points change from

white to green and the lock clicks. If the focus cannot be locked,

the focus point turns red.

When the Auto Focus setting is set to Face Focus, the camera

automatically detects and focuses on the face of the subject.

When the camera detects several faces, it automatically selects

and focuses on the face closest to the center. When no face can

be detected, the center of the display is automatically measured

and focused, this is the same as when the Single Point AF is

selected.

Something other than a person may be detected as a human face

with the Face Focus function.
