REVIEW INSTALLATION

for your

Benefit

Take a few minutes to complete
this checklist. It will help assure you
that you have a proper installation

and will increase your satisfaction
with your Kenmore laundry center.

□ Check electrical requirements.

Be sure you have correct electrical
supply and recommended grounding
method.

□ Check that you have:

• All the tools you started with.

• Removed all packaging materials.

• Removed shipping strap with

three cotter pins.

• Installed all parts listed on

pages 5-10.

□ Check that:

• The laundry center is level.

• The nuts on the front legs are tight.

□ Check that the water faucets are

turned on.

□ Ensure that laundry center is

positioned in its final location. Make
sure vent is not crushed or kinked.

FINAL STEPS

□ Plug the power supply cord into the

grounded outlet or connect direct wire
to power supply.

□ Turn power supply on.

□ Wipe the interior of the dryer drum

thoroughly with a damp cloth to

remove any dust.

□ Remove the blue protective film on

the console and any tape remaining
on laundry center.

□ Take a few minutes and read the

Operating Instructions (pages 38-48)
to fully understand your new laundry
center.

□ Start the washer and allow it to com­

plete the HEAVY DUTY Cycle.

□ Start the dryer and allow it to complete

a full heat cycle (not the air cycle).
After five minutes, open dryer door.
You should feel heat inside the dryer.

If you do not feel heat, see Trouble­

shooting information on pages 63-64.

NOTE:

You may notioe a burning

odor. This smell is common when
the heating element is first used.
The smell will go away.
