7.3 Turning the device off
> The device can be turned off by pressing the On/Standby button on the device or on the remote con-
trol.
7.4 Selecting channels
7.4.1 Using the channel up/down buttons
> Use the up/down arrow keys on the receiver or +/- programme buttons on the remote control to
switch channels up or down.
7.4.2 Using the numeric keypad
> Enter the channel number using the numeric keypad
Example:
1 to select channel no. 1
1, then 4 to select channel no. 14
2, then 3, then 4 to select channel no. 234
1, then 5, then 6, then 7 to select channel no. 1567
When entering multi-digit numbers of channels the user has approx. 3 seconds to complete the channel
number after pressing the key.
When entering a one-, two-, or three-digit number, the process of switching channels can be facilitated
by holding the last digit a bit longer.
7.4.3 Using the cursor (list of channels)
> Press the OK button.
The list of channels that can be selected with the cursor will be displayed. In TV mode only TV program-
mes are displayed, and in radio mode only radio programmes are displayed.
The currently set programme is highlighted.
> Select the channel using the arrow keys.
Move the cursor one line up or down using the up/down arrow keys, or one page further or back using
the right/left arrow keys.
> Additional information on the current programme is available by pressing the INFO button.
> Pressing the OK button activates the selected channel.
7.4.4 Loading locked channels
If the Child Lock channel is selected, the PIN demand for the device will be displayed on the screen.
> Enter the PIN code using the numeric keypad. The selected channel is activated.
or
> Start a channel that is not locked.
If global parental control is active, the PIN code demand will be displayed upon starting the locked chan-
nel.
To facilitate operation, the user needs to enter the PIN code only once at each stage of operation. It is
also necessary to follow guidelines and settings for global and user-dependent parental control.
7.4.5 Returning to the latest channel selection
> Pressing Back on the remote control allows the user to return to the previously viewed channel.
> Pressing the button again activates the previously viewed channel.
