9.2.3 Selecting TV channels/programmes

To obtain a better overview, you can programme the electronic programme guide EPG/SFI so that it
contains only your preferred channels.
Please note:
The more programmes you include in the electronic programme guide, the longer it will take to down-
load the EPG/SFI data! By the same token, as the number of channels included in the electronic pro-
gramme guide increases, it may not be possible to provide a preview for the full seven days in advance.

9.2.4 Selecting radio channels/programmes

Use the same procedure to include radio channels/stations in the programme guide.

9.2.5 Start category

The electronic programme guide off ers various forms of displaying information (categories). There you
can choose the categories in which EPG/SCF is to be opened.

Overview

This form of display provides a quick overview of all channels included in the electro-
nic programme guide.

Programmes This form of display provides a table with the current day’s programmes for a single

channel.

Genres

If you are interested in specifi c types of programmes, you can have the programme in-
formation displayed according to specifi c genres, e.g. movies, news, etc.

Last used

With this setting, the display type last used will be automatically called up next time
you call up the EPG/SFI.

> After pressing OK in the line Start category, the list with Start categories opens.
> Use the arrow keys up/down in the line Start category to set the display type to be used when the

electronic programme guide is called up. Confi rm by pressing OK.

> If you select Genres, you can then use the arrow keys to additionally select the preferred genre (e.g.

movies, news, shows, etc.).

9.2.6 Updating EPG/SFI data manually

> To download EPG/SFI data mark the Download fi eld using the up/down arrows, and confi rm with

OK. The download EPG/SFI data process bar appears. The process of reading is not linear, which me-
ans that it can abort or reopen itself.

> Switch the receiver using the On/Stand-by key (Stand-by).
> The receiver will now perform the download procedure. This will be shown by the message Loading

SFI as well as an indication of the SFI data already downloaded in the display panel.

9.3. Parental control/time-restricted children’s accounts

Your receiver is equipped with a parental control function, which is divided into global parental control
functions and those functions selected by the user.

Channels, sources and functions blocked in the global Parental Control apply to all users equally.
