Hide Sources Sources that are not used can be hidden from the list of available sources while in
Source mode. This allows quicker scrolling through the connected sources while in
the Source mode.
• Open Installer Tools as described on page 23, select Hide Sources, and
press the SELECT button. The AADS will list Source 1 with its visibility
status.
NOTE: Hidden sources are indicated with an asterisk (*).
• Press the SELECT button to toggle the visibility setting (hidden or
revealed).
Identify Keypads This screen allows you to identify 12-button keypads and APAD devices that are
connected to the AADS.
• Open Installer Tools as described on page 23, select Identify Keypads, and
press the SELECT button. The AADS will poll the network to detect any
connected keypads or APAD device.
NOTE: Any attached AAE will automatically be identified by the AADS
during this step.
• Press the SELECT button to clear any existing keypad data and begin the
identification process.

• To select the control device type for the first room controlled by the AADS
(Room Output 1), press the selection control up or down to display APAD
or 12-button keypad and press SELECT. If there is no control device for
that room, press the selection control down to display None and press
SELECT.
• Follow the onscreen instructions for identifying the device. After
identifying the device, the AADS will prompt for the next room’s control
device.
NOTE: If a device is not identified within two minutes, the AADS will
indicate that the keypad was not found. Try again by pressing the SELECT
button or cancel the process by pressing the selection control down to
display Abort and pressing the SELECT button.
• Repeat the procedure until control devices for all of the specified rooms
(refer to page 25) have been identified.
