Problem Solving
Troubleshooting
The following table provides corrective action for possible trouble situations. If
further assistance is required, please contact a Crestron customer service
representative.
AADS Troubleshooting
TROUBLE POSSIBLE CAUSE(S) CORRECTIVE ACTION
AADS does not
function. AADS is not receiving
power. Use the provided power cord.
Verify connection.
C2N-DBF12 or
APAD does not
function. AADS is not
communicating with
C2N-DBF12 or APAD
devices. Verify that C2N-DBF12 and
APAD devices are properly
connected to the AADS and
are identified by the AADS as
described on page 28.
AAE is not properly
connected to the AADS. Verify that the AAE is
properly connected to the
AADS.
Open Installer Tools and
select “Identify Keypads”.
Identify all keypads in the
system. AADS only allows
six rooms
(maximum) when
using the out-of-
the-box
functionality.
AAE is not registered
with AADS.
Use Crestron Toolbox to
manually set the AADS Net
ID to 31.
AAE is not properly
connected to the AADS. Verify that the AAE is
properly connected to the
AADS.
Open Installer Tools and
select “Identify Keypads”.
Identify all keypads in the
system. Buttons on AAE
do not light or do
anything
AAE is not registered
with AADS.
Use Crestron Toolbox to
manually set AAE Net ID to
31.
Tuner sources are
not working. Antennas are not
properly installed or
oriented. Install and orient the
antennas as described on
page 19.
CEN-IDOC or AAS are
not receiving power. Verify that each device is
receiving power.
CEN-IDOC or AAS are
not communicating with
AADS over Ethernet. Verify each device’s TCP/IP
settings.
CEN-IDOC or
AAS devices not
listed on the LCD
or APAD as
available sources.
Sources are hidden. Use Installer Tools to
“unhide” missing sources.
