6.1. Logging

Linux kernel and system S/W like ipmievd and nlnid use syslog mechanism to save
their log data to a file.
The detail syslog information is as below:

- syslog version: busybox v1.17.1 (from LMP SDK)
- syslog config (/etc/syslog.confg)

DESTINATION="file" # log destinations (buffer file remote)
MARKINT=20 # interval between --mark-- entries
[min]
REDUCE=no # reduced-size logging
BUFFERSIZE=64 # buffer: size of circular buffer [kByte]
LOGFILE=/var/NVMA/messages # file: where to log

Ö This file is located on CHIP_SSD. Refer to Table 6 1 VM Map.

REMOTE=loghost:514 # remote: where to log
FOREGROUND=no # run in foreground (don't use!)
