5.5.15 Change corrosion resistor cartridge
[Every 1,000 hours]
＜ Procedure＞
① Set stop valve“1” at the top of the corrosion resistor to the “CLOSE” position to close it.
② Place a container under the cartridge to catch the water and coolant mix.
③ Using a wrench,remove cartridge“2”
④ Clean the corrosion resistor head,coat the seal surface of the new cartridge thinly with clean oil,
then install cartridge“2”(See 5.4)
⑤ When installing the cartridge, bring it the gasket into contact with the seal surface of the corrosion
resistor head, then tighten a further 2/3 turns. If the cartridge is tightened too far,it will damage
the gasket and cause leakage of water. If the cartridge is not tightened enough,there will be
leakage of water through the gap at the gasket. To prevent these problems always tighten securely
to the specified tightening angle.
⑥ Turn stop valve to the “OPEN” position to open it.
⑦ After replacing the cartridge, start the engine and check that there is no leakage of water from the
cartridge seal surface. If there is any leakage of water, check the tightening of the cartridge.
