BATTERY / STORAGE AND SAFTEY CHECK LIST


There is dangerous voltage used in the system. Only qualified personnel should
perform installation and maintenance.

Live batter wire must not touch the chassis or any metal objects. This can cause fire
and or explosions.

Inspect the batteries once a year for sings for cracks, leads or swelling.

When batteries are in storage, charge them at least once every three months for
optimum performance and lifetime.

Replace batteries only with batteries supplied by or approved by Online Power Inc.
If you substitute batteries not supplied by OLP, unit’s listing may be void and you
may create an unsafe condition and the equipment may fail. Always replace
batteries with ones of identical type and rating. Never install old or untested
batteries. Never mix old with new batteries.

Do not dispose of battery in fire. They may explode.

Do not attempt to open the batteries. The electrolyte is toxic and corrosive.

The following precautions should be taken when replacing the battery Remove
watches, rings, etc.

Use tools with insulated handles.

Battery is supplied as separate individual quantity. Connection should be in series
and DC volt is 48 VDC.

Standby Generator

Note: when connected to line power, and the UPS constantly switches back and forth
between Battery and Line mode, because of line fluctuations, the UPS’s parameters
should be broadened from Normal to Generator.
