Channel

The DDS code S 0 1 0 1 0 0 0 is placed in the channelized
data.

DSU

The DDS code S 0 1 0 1 1 0 0 is placed in the channelized
data.

OCU

The DDS code S 0 1 0 1 0 1 0 is placed in the channelized
data.

Sending Diagnostic Test Patterns

Once the loop is established, you can send the test pattern from the
near end unit. The test pattern is placed only in the channel
allocated to the port being tested.

The example circuit shown in Figure 7 illustrates the diagnostic
capabilities provided by AS2000 within the DDS network that is
accessible from AM2000.

In this example, a DIU 2130 with DDS capability is connected to a
ConnecT 56k DSU at the far end. To test the network circuit, a
remote loop-back is first activated. In a DDS circuit to a
ConnecT 56, either a DDS latching loop or a V.54 loopback option
can be used to perform the remote loop-back.
