The S5120-EI Switch Series uses built-in fans. If a built-in fan failure occurs, contact your H3C sales agent

or service engineer for assistance and do not attempt to fix the problem yourself.

NOTE:

To ensure normal operation of the switch, contact the local sales agent or service engineer as soon as
possible when a built-in fan failure occurs.

Configuration terminal problems

when the switch is powered on. If the setup is incorrect, the configuration terminal would display nothing

or garbled text.

If the configuration terminal displays nothing when the switch is powered on, verify that:

The power supply is normal.

The console cable is correctly connected.

The console cable has no problem and the terminal settings are correct.

example, HyperTerminal:

Baud rate—9,600

Data bits—8
